The Basics

What is an escape room?

An escape room is an immersive, real-life adventure game you experience with a team. You have a set amount of time to explore a themed space, uncover clues, and solve puzzles to complete a clear objective. While some escape rooms focus on being “locked in,” our games are objective-based—you are never locked in and can step out at any time.

How long are the games?

Each game lasts 60 minutes. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early for check-in and your game briefing, and planning an additional 5–10 minutes afterward for a quick debrief and photos. From start to finish, the full experience typically takes less than 90 minutes.

Is it scary?

Our games focus on suspense, adventure, and storytelling rather than horror. Some rooms—like Blackbeard’s End and Aura—have a darker or more immersive atmosphere, but all of our experiences are family-friendly. We do not use jump scares or live actors to frighten players.

Am I really locked in?

No. For safety and comfort, the entry door is never locked. You’re free to step out at any time—for a restroom break or a quick breather—while the game clock continues. Our games are objective-based, not about being physically locked in.

I am sick — can I still play?

No. For the health and safety of our guests and staff, anyone who is sick—or appears to be sick—cannot participate in an escape room experience. While we thoroughly sanitize our rooms, many groups play each day, and this policy helps prevent the spread of illness. We appreciate your understanding and consideration for others.

Can I play if I’m under the influence?

No. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted inside the building. For safety reasons, anyone who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of mind-altering substances will not be allowed to participate. In these cases, the game will be forfeited and no refunds will be issued.

Booking & Pricing

What is the cost?

Standard pricing ranges from $29–$35 per player, depending on group size and date. Discounted rates starting at $25–$27 per player are available for large groups, team-building events, church groups, and school groups. For current availability and exact pricing, please click “Book Now.”

What are your hours?

Our hours vary by day and by availability. The best way to see current hours and game times is to view live availability on our booking page, which always reflects our most up-to-date schedule.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Booking in advance is strongly recommended to secure your preferred date and time. Walk-ins are welcome when available, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

How far in advance can I book?

Our booking calendar is open up to 8 weeks in advance. We recommend reserving at least 24 hours ahead, though same-day bookings may be available—sometimes as close as 1 hour before game time.

How do I book a room?

The easiest way to book is through our website—just click “Book Now” to see availability and reserve your game. You can also book by calling us, messaging us on Facebook, emailing us, or stopping by during open hours. All bookings must be paid for in advance to secure your reservation.

What does “Call to Book” mean?

If you see “Call to Book,” it means additional availability may be possible. Please call us at (417) 208-3202 to check. Immediate assistance may not always be available, but we will return your call as soon as possible.

Are the rooms private?

Yes. All of our games are private experiences. You will never be paired with other groups—only you and your team will be in the room.

Can we add more players to our booking?

Yes. You only need to reserve the minimum number of players required to book a game. Additional players may be added when you arrive, as long as the room’s maximum capacity is not exceeded. If you book more than the minimum and a player cannot attend, any refunds are handled according to our Cancellation & Refund Policy. No refunds are issued for same-day changes or no-shows.

Do we need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All players must have a waiver completed before participating. Players under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Cash is not accepted. Bookings are paid online at the time of reservation. If you are adding players to an existing booking or visiting as a walk-in (when available), payment is made in person using a card.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted by replying to your booking confirmation email. Cancellations made at least three days before your reservation are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made one or two days prior will receive a partial refund, minus the minimum booking charge (equal to the cost of two players, approximately $70). No refunds are available on the day of your reservation. This policy applies to full cancellations, partial cancellations, group size reductions, no-shows, and same-day bookings.

Can I reschedule my booking?

Yes. Reschedule requests must be submitted by replying to your booking confirmation email. You may reschedule your booking any time before the day of your reservation. A $10 rescheduling fee applies to each request. Rescheduling is not permitted on the day of your reservation for any reason, except in cases of severe weather or unsafe travel conditions, at management’s discretion.

What if we are going to be late?

If you think you may be late, please call us as soon as possible at (417) 208-3202. Up to 5 minutes after your scheduled start time, your game clock will begin running and time will be deducted from your 60-minute experience. If you arrive 20 minutes or more after your start time, you will be unable to play and your booking will be forfeited. No refunds or rescheduling are available in these cases.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Digital gift certificates are available for purchase online. After completing your purchase, you will receive a printable PDF. If you prefer a physical gift certificate and are unable to print, you’re welcome to stop by during business hours after purchasing online and we’ll provide one for you.

Do you offer bookings for special events or large groups?

Yes. For special events, large groups, or custom bookings outside of standard availability, please fill out our contact form and we’ll be happy to assist.

Players & Accessibility

How many players can join?

Each room is designed for 2–10 players. While larger groups can sometimes be accommodated, exceeding the recommended capacity may feel crowded and can impact the overall experience. We find escape rooms are most fun with 4–8 players. Solo players are welcome, but the minimum room charge still applies.

Can kids play?

Yes. Our escape rooms are family-friendly and designed for players ages 10 and up to fully enjoy the puzzles. Younger children are welcome with adult supervision.

Are young children allowed?

Children age 5 and under may play for free. While not recommended, infants and toddlers are allowed if they remain in a carrier, stroller, or similar device to ensure their safety during gameplay.

Do children need adult supervision?

Yes. Players age 14 or younger must have an adult (18+) in the room to assist with communication and behavior management.

Do minors need a waiver?

Yes. All players age 17 or younger must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. Waivers signed by other relatives or friends cannot be accepted.

Is your facility wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Our entire facility—including parking, restrooms, and all escape rooms—is wheelchair accessible. While some game areas may be tighter or more challenging to navigate, all players will be able to participate in the experience.

Can pregnant players participate?

Yes, with discretion. Our games may involve bending, reaching, or light physical movement. We recommend consulting with your doctor and using your best judgment.

Gameplay & Hints

What if we get stuck?

Don’t worry! Our Game Masters monitor your game and are available to help. You can request hints at any time, and we offer unlimited hints to keep the experience fun and moving forward.

Do I need special knowledge?

No. Everything you need to solve the puzzles is provided inside the room. No outside knowledge or trivia is required—just observation, logical thinking, and teamwork.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Some rooms may involve bending, crawling, or reaching. You’re welcome to dress for the room’s theme if you’d like, but comfort is key. Shoes must be worn at all times during gameplay. Lockers and coat hooks are available for bags and outerwear.

What happens if we don’t finish the game?

That’s okay! Not every group completes the objective, and that’s part of the challenge. Your Game Master will walk you through anything you didn’t finish and answer questions after the game.

Can we use our phones during the game?

Yes. You’re welcome to bring your phone into the room and take photos or videos during your experience. We just ask that phones are used respectfully and do not interfere with gameplay or other players’ enjoyment.

What if someone in our group can’t continue?

That’s okay. Any player may step out at any time. The rest of the group may continue playing, but the game clock will continue to run.

Can we leave the room during the game?

Yes. You may leave the room at any time if needed. Just let your Game Master know. The game clock will continue to run while you are out.

Facility Rules & Policies

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

No. Outside food or drinks are not allowed inside the escape rooms. Water bottles and small snacks are permitted but must be kept in bags or pockets during gameplay.

Can I bring my own props or items?

No. All required props and materials are provided. Personal items such as phones or wallets are allowed, but larger bags and belongings should be left at home or stored in provided areas.

Can my dog participate?

No. Pets are not permitted inside our escape rooms.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free parking is available on-site for all guests.

Are there cameras or microphones in the rooms?
