What is an escape room?
You and your friends have 60 minutes to work as a team to use clues you find and solve puzzles to reach your end objective. Your team will save the world, stop evil pirates, and anything else you could imagine.
Do you have any special event bookings?
Yes, we can work with your schedule to arrange large group bookings (20 or more players) and company parties.

I am sick, can I play?
Absolutely not. Per our policy, if you are sick or we believe you to be sick you cannot go in our escape rooms. We sanitize our rooms, however on a busy day more than 100 people will go through our rooms. We cannot have germs that could make our other guests sick being spread throughout our rooms.
Gaming under the influence, is it okay?
Alcohol or drugs are not allowed inside the building at any time.
If you admit to/or appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of any mind-altering substance(s) you will not be permitted to go into the escape room. No refunds will be offered.
How do I book a room?
Generally, you would book from our website, click here to book now. You can also call us, message us on Facebook or by email, or stop by if we are open. All bookings are paid for in advance to reserve.
Do you have Gift Certificates?
Yes. You can purchase digital gift certificates HERE. You will receive a printable PDF of the gift certificate. If you do not have access to print but would like a physical certificate, please come in when we are open to request one after you complete your purchase online.
What if we are going to be late?
We understand that sometimes the unexpected can happen and cause you to be late. Please call us immediately if you are going to be late, (417) 208-3202.
5 minutes after your room was scheduled to start we begin to remove time from your 60-minute experience. If you are 20 minutes late for your booking you will not be able to start and will forfeit your booking. You will not receive a refund or be able to reschedule.
Can we add more players to our booking?
If you did not book the full capacity of the game you booked, you may pay for additional players, up to but not exceeding the room’s listed capacity, when you arrive.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your booking. Due to heavy demand, we must keep a tight schedule, so if you arrive late you may not receive the full 60 minutes for the game. Please do not come significantly earlier than requested, we may have other groups still finishing their games.
What should I wear?
It is always fun to see people dress for the room theme they are coming to do! But really, just be comfortable, some rooms may involve bending, crawling, twisting, etc. Please keep in mind you will not be permitted to remove your shoes in the escape room. We provide lockers and coat hooks for bags and outerwear.
What do I need to do before I play?
When you arrive, we will verify your booking in our system and verify that every player has a valid waiver: Everyone in the group will need to sign a liability waiver before playing. Minors under 18 yrs of age will need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver for them either in our lobby or online from our website prior to arriving. IMPORTANT: You may not sign for a minor if you are not their Legal Guardian or Parent! Our staff will ensure that all waivers are signed correctly before your game can begin.
Can I bring food or drinks in the room?
We do not allow food or drinks in the escape rooms and we do not have have a place to store these items. It is best to leave food and/or drinks in your vehicle if you are participating in an escape room.
Am I really locked in a room?
Absolutely not! Escape Joplin is an escape room by definition, but your safety is our number one priority. None of the escape room doors are locked throughout your experience, your objective will not be to “escape” from the room itself. So come out and have fun, there is nothing to worry about!
How much time do I get to play?
Each escape room game is given a time limit of 60 minutes. Some groups may “escape” or complete their objectives sooner.
Is there an age limit?
We do not have a set age limit, however, children under 12 yrs of age must be accompanied in the room by an adult over 18 years of age (unless prior arrangements are made with management). Our rooms are best suited for participants 10 yrs old and older. Young children (6 and under) are not necessarily encouraged to participate. There is much to the game that they will not understand and a higher risk of them hurting themselves or damaging something in the game. Infants are welcomed when confined in a carrier, stroller, or something similar.
Can my dog participate?
We do not allow pets in our escape rooms.
What can I bring in the room?
All you need is your mind. We ask that you do not bring anything in the room with you, we have lockers for you to store your personal items. If you use reading glasses, be sure to bring them so you can help solve the puzzles!
